All about Keum Boo

During this week long jewelry making workshop, we’ll be making a pendant with a bezel set cabochon of your choosing. We’ll learn all about Keum Boo (an ancient Korean technique) and make our own 24k gold sheet to fuse with the silver creating in your own style. Not only that, but you’ll learn the solid techniques for alloying and forming your own 18k gold to form the bezel and set your cabochon to highlight your whole pendant.

Don’t forget, there is also a lot that happens during the week along side all of that metalsmithing… a private museum tour, a private wine tasting or maybe even a cooking class, aperitivos, dinners, etc. Make sure to check out the main Metalsmiths in Florence page for all the details on what’s included in the week.

Once registration opens, you can complete the “Pre-Registration” form by clicking the button and submitting your information and uploading photos. If you are approved, I will send you the full registration forms to fill out. The completed forms emailed back to me and the receipt of the $1000 non-refundable deposit will secure your spot in the workshop and I will email you a confirmation letter with other important information about the workshop.
