Hey there, I’m Monica…

I'm a southern Californian by way of Florida and I now split my time between California and Florence, Italy. I know…it’s awesome and I don’t take it for granted for one second.

I’m a bit irreverent, artistic, and willing to jump a fence to find a new adventure.

Anything to do with the ocean, I love. I've been surfing for longer than I can say (or want to), and I'm a hopeless beachcomber. I use a lot of sea glass in my jewelry designs and I found my first piece of sea glass years ago on the beach in Baja, Mexico while on a surf trip traveling in a VW van.

I make jewelry, and I make jewelry for people who want to have an emotional connection to their jewelry. People who are one-of-a- kind and want one-of-a-kind jewelry that brings them joy every time they wear it.

I have studied with master metalsmiths in the U.S. as well as with a master goldsmith in Florence, Italy learning classical, traditional techniques in jewelry making.

As the founder of the Metalsmiths in Florence and Metalsmiths in Vicenza workshops, I get to combine my love for both metalsmithing and Italy by inviting metalsmiths and stone setters from all over the world to join me in Italy for a weeklong workshop learning all about different techniques in goldsmithing, stone setting, engraving, and other techniques.

Metalsmithing not your thing? That’s cool, I can also host and organize other workshops and retreats as well for those who want to experience something soul changing and to live-like-a-local in Italy at the same time. Wine is involved, and food, and art.   Did I mention wine?
