I'm a southern Californian by way of Florida. I now split my time between California and Florence, Italy. I know. It’s awesome and I don’t take it for granted for one second.
I’m a bit irreverent, artistic, and willing to jump a fence to find a new adventure.
Anything to do with the ocean, I love. I've been surfing for longer than I can say (or want to), and I'm a hopeless beachcomber. I found my first piece of sea glass years ago on the beach in Baja, Mexico while on a surf trip traveling in a VW van. Finding sea glass on the beaches all over the world connects me to the histories and mysteries of the past. I also cannot pass up an interesting beach rock, or sea stone. The refining nature of the ocean is a perfect analogy for our lives and the refining nature of time.
I make jewelry for women who want to have an emotional connection to their jewelry. Women who are one-of-a- kind and want one-of-a-kind jewelry that brings them joy every time they wear it.
I have studied with master metalsmiths in the U.S. and with a master goldsmith in Florence, Italy learning classical techniques in jewelry making.
As the founder of the Metalsmiths in Florence workshop I get to combine my love for both metalsmithing and Florence, Italy by inviting metalsmiths from all over the world to join me in Florence, Italy for a weeklong workshop learning all about gold from a master Florentine goldsmith. I also offer other creative workshops and retreats as well for those that want to experience something soul changing and live-like-a-local in Italy at the same time. Wine is involved, and food, and art. Did I mention wine?
